The ducks

While in Memphis, we went to go see the famous Peabody Ducks. At the Peabody hotel they have a family of ducks that live on the rooftop. Every day at 11:00 the ducks are brought down by elevator and they walk along a red carpet to swim in the hotel fountain in the lobby. Then at 5(?) they leave via the red carpet back up to their penthouse home.

Brian dropped off Gabriella and I to run and see the ducks march to the fountain which is why we don't have pictures of the event, but he joined us later to take some quick pictures.

Here is Gabriella at the fountain watching the ducks. She LOVES ducks now after this trip. We also had ducks in our hotel lobby so we saw them many times a day. She can even tell you what a duck says now. You have to listen closely though, it's "Qua Qua".

Here is my poor child with one shoe. She was walking the red carpet. When I jumped out of the truck quickly with her, one of her shoes fell off. It was waiting for us in the truck when we were done :)

The tile floor around the fountain was a little slippery so I tried keeping her back a bit. You could get right up to the fountain if you wanted to though. She loved it!
