Happy 4th of July!

So what do you do on the 4th of July when it rains all day? Read books and play with band-aids!

Our neighborhood planned to have a parade around 10:30 but rescheduled due to the rain at 12:30. So we pushed back nap time and headed down the street for our little parade. We were the only ones to turn out for it, so we just walked down the street and waved to some neighbors and Grandma and Grandpa who came to watch. I think they were rescheduling again for 4, but we weren't going to be around so just had our own parade :)

She even waved to people who drove by or were out in their yards. She was born to be in a parade :)

After nap time we headed over to Forrest Park to ride on the paddle boats. We met Baby Lila, Gary and Jessica to hang out. I think Gabriella really enjoyed the boat ride. We did end up getting a little wet because it continued to sprinkle all day.

The baby ducks and big ducks followed us around in our boats. Gabriella really enjoyed talking to the ducks and pointing them out.

We paddled all around. We went under bridges and around fountains. The little baby duck ventured away from his parents for a little while.

Our local fireworks were cancelled for the night. They are planning on doing them tomorrow night, so we shall see how Gabriella enjoys them. I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!
